Volition, the US-based development studio noted for series like Red Faction and Saints Row, recently released their new IP Agents of Mayhem.
The game didn’t work up to now, though, particularly you are looking at sales. Based on SteamSpy data, a little little over 30K customers purchased the action on PC’s most favored digital platform.
This is going to prompt several changes at Volition. Such as, Jim Boone is coming back as Studio Development Director from brief stint at Riot. Boone, who worked at Volition since their primary game (Descent: FreeSpace C The nice War, provided by Interplay in 1998), was interviewed by GamesIndustry and pointed out that the developers need to consider what went wrong with Agents of Mayhem, an activity that he anticipates can be more intense than normal.
At least inside the immediate term, as perhaps you might imagine, there exists destined to be many analysis. Am certain that examining Agents of Mayhem and working the sort of things went well, along with what we need to enhance. I really don’t think it’s really a secret to suggest who’s didn’t meet what our expectations were. So our initial steps might be a great number of self-reflection on the sorts of things we should improve upon. Because we’re also certainly able to perform great items that people enjoy, so it is not a question of talent or whether we’ve it in us to complete great things- our company is doing that for long periods.
Whenever we finish a game title, we always conduct our big post-mortems about all kinds of things that went very well, along with what we’re able to make improvements to. With Agents of Mayhem it can be no different, but it surely could be a touch more serious.
