a minute read

Ubisoft’s E3 2017 press conference was loaded with announcements, just one in particular stood out just by how mysterious and creepy it had been. About halfway through their conference, Ubisoft played an odd live action commercial for just a title called Transference, starring Elijah Wood among additional actors. The overall game would be the culmination on the collaboration between Elijah Wood’s production company and Ubisoft.

There’s not much that we believe about Transference at that point one thing’s definitely, it’s incredibly creepy and psychological. Look into the announcement trailer here, and here’s an easy description from Ubisoft.

Transference? is actually a psychological thriller and the first game collaboration between SpectreVision and Ubisoft. Bridging the gap between movies and games, we invite yourself to lose yourself inside the destructive tale of an man’s obsession whilst you explore his digitally recreated memories. See the limits of techno-psychology and escape a maze-like puzzle concealing a corrupted truth. Get projected within the digital consciousness of troubled case subjects as well as perhaps you’ll influence their fate.

Ubisoft has also released a conversation with Elijah Wood about Transference, about his company’s vision for that upcoming VR thriller.

Transference happens to be schedule to produce Spring 2018 for VR systems like PSVR, Oculus, and HTC Vive along with PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
