Review: Rangi – PS4/PSVR

2 minutes read

PSVR is not any stranger to puzzle games, and by now I’m no stranger to playing them. Rangi is amongst the newer ones that I’ve succeeded for getting my mitts on, but is it the very best of the bunch? Well, continue reading and I’ll inform you.

Of course, being that Rangi can be a PSVR game, you’re have to have a PSVR headset. You’ll also need a handful of PS Move wand controllers are classified as the game depends on your waving your arms around, though little.

Rangi originally released for mobile VR platforms prior to being ported to PC and PSVR. There’s always a fear that after a personal game is ported from mobile to consoles, that it’ll pale as compared to games created primarily for consoles. Thankfully that’s untrue with Rangi. I’ve only sincerely been a game for a few minutes at a Samsung Gear VR headset, but after you have played via the game on PSVR, there’s an apparent difference but it doesn’t sense that an inexpensive cash-in.

Rangi is usually a puzzle game, most notably. There’s a little story to check out but it’s certainly not all that interesting, well , not to ever me. The primary draw was all through one puzzle to get at another, using the overlying story receiving via short, forgettable dialogue.

My first impression of Rangi was “man, this can be piss easy”. Plus it was, to your first 30 minutes roughly. The outlet hour is very much information about you understanding the controls, solving quicks puzzles, and generally learning how you can play. It’s all quite easy initially but things get gradually harder. A few things i will think are which the learning curve felt virtually right for me. Frequently I’m left scratching my head with puzzle games when they improvement in difficulty, however with Rangi it always felt that we was only about ready for every single puzzle. A reliable learning curve, then, that isn’t too punishing.
