Epic Games announced today that the long-awaited survival game Fortnite is coming to Early Access for?Mac, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One?on July 25.
The “action building” game allows up to four players online to gather resources from the fully destructible environment and grow a large fort to defend against waves of monsters. You can find four distinct classes from which to choose, and hundreds of exotic weapons to craft. Look at some gameplay while in the E3 2017 trailer below.
Originally revealed for 2011, the video game?has been a closed alpha phase since 2014. Fortnite will be free-to-play once the game enters open beta?sometime during 2018, but purchasing?among the many four packages, starting at $39.99, at the begining of Access gives buyers loot packs and other in-game rewards.?Those that pre-order are able to start playing four days earlier on July 21, alongside a?Storm Master Weapon Pack.
Fortnite is already for pre-order on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, via Epic Games’ own game launcher for PC and Mac.
